My name is Vince Regan.
This space serves as my conduit for sharing information about my personal life as well as my work life as a security professional. I work for IDN H. Hoffman as a Security Specialist providing security solutions across a broad spectrum of industries and applications.
My wife and I live in Michigan and are the parents of eight children. I deeply believe everyone holds the power to make a difference in the world. I try to do that in my personal life as a husband and father, and within the security profession as well.
I grew up in the security business and worked within Security Operations Management, Investigations, and Internal Physical Security Consulting in the first half of my career. In the second half of my security career I have worked within the Security Service Provider/Integrator segment in Security Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations Management.
Professionally I worked hard to become among the most highly credentialed Security Professionals in the United States. I hold all three professional board certifications offered by ASIS International. These are the CPP, PSP, and PCI certifications. ASIS International is the largest security association in the world, with over 38,000 members. Of those, less than 100 US Security Professionals join me in holding all three board certifications. Of those, only a handful of us (literally) work in a capacity where we sell security solutions within the industry.
In business and in my personal life I’ve worked for over 20 years to leverage the power of the internet, social media, and professional industry outreach in new and exciting ways. As a past owner of an IT company, I spent many years providing internet development, marketing, and consulting services to businesses looking to communicate using the power of the internet. In fact, my long history of developing and leveraging online content and communications goes back to creation of my first commercial website in the mid 90’s—long before Coke, Chevy, Google, and even Facebook were online.
More extensive details on me and my professional background, including my selection as the 2016 ASIS Chapter “Security Practitioner of the Year,” can be found by connecting with me through my Linkedin profile at this link.
